The Bridgwater Hockey Club juniors and youth section is growing and vibrant. We provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all youngsters from the age of 7 to 16 to receive a high level of coaching tempered with a great deal of fun.
Our qualified coaches create a professional environment, where young players learn not only the skills of the game, but also the disciplines of team sport and tactics. We also aim to develop skills through local festivals at u10 , u12 , u14 and u16 level and we enter a range of local junior festivals.
Where appropriate we will channel young players through the England Hockey single system introducing them to representative hockey at county and regional level (and above!). We also have a route from junior hockey into senior/adult club selection and many of our juniors go on to represent Bridgwater in the adult teams.
Any youngster can come along - we welcome all children from ages 7 to 14. They do not need to have played hockey before as our sessions cater for all abilities. They need the enthusiasm to want to get active and find out more about hockey.
Come along and try a session at Chilton Trinity 'astro' each Tuesday in term time (Autumn and Spring Terms) from 6:00pm-7:00pm, and complete a Junior Membership Form so that we have all the right contact details on file.
